V-Guard2 for Web

V-Guard2 for Web is a security program that is executed and terminated by requests during web page access.

V-Guard2 for Web is a virus app that is run in conjunction with shopping malls and web pages during payment.

V-Guard2 for Web does not run independently and can only be run when a request is received.

• If it is run independently, only a simple screen displaying the app version and related information will be shown, and no additional functionalities will be performed.

[App Access Permission Information]

In compliance with the Information and Communication Network Act, which protects users regarding smartphone app access permissions effective from March 23, 2017, V-Guard only accesses the necessary items required for the service, as indicated below.

[Required Access Permissions]

• App deletion request permission: Used to delete diagnosed malicious apps.
• Internet and Wi-Fi connection information: Used to update the engine via network connection.
• Draw over other apps: Used to immediately notify users of detected malicious apps through real-time scanning.
• App notifications: Used to notify users of the operation status of real-time monitoring services.

* Access permission changes

• Android 6.0 or higher: Go to Settings > Apps or Applications > V-Guard for Web > Select Permissions to grant or revoke consent.
• Android versions below 6.0: Individual consent for each item is not possible, so we have obtained mandatory access consent for all items. Therefore, please verify whether your device's operating system can be upgraded to Android 6.0 or higher and we recommend upgrading. However, even if the operating system is upgraded, the access permissions you have previously agreed to on the existing app will not change. To set the access permissions again, you need to uninstall the app and reinstall it.
